I'm attracted to drawing more than other mediums because of its minimalism. Drawings are primitive in technology and approach and that allows for more attention on expression. A single line has the capacity for so much meaning; the difference between a dark, thick black and a thin, spindly gray. There is no better example of line quality than Eastern Calligraphy.
